We offer foreign visitors free walking tour in English in Tokyo as volunteer.
This tour started from 28th June 2008. Now we only have this tour every Saturday.
We hope to hold this free walking tour everyday, but we are not ready yet. We will rapidly announce that information on this web site after we change the situation we give the everyday tour.
Anyway we describe why we decided to offer you this free walking tour as volunteer.
Firstly almost all Japanese people can not speak English and other foreign language well these days. Probably you know about it, donft you? We think Japanese people need a lot of opportunity and practice to improve them.
Secondary tourists who visited in Japan have recently been growing up. However we guess foreign visitors might not deeply enjoy staying and visiting in Japan. It is caused by following points. Foreign visitors can not have a handle on Japanese culture and customs because there are the most different from western ones. At least foreign visitors need some hints or knowledge to see and visit Japanese places.
Thirdly other significant point is Japanese government enacted a law a person needs qualification to guide in Japan. So we do not offer foreign visitors a paid tour. However, certain volunteer groups can give foreign visitors a free tour guide after those ones had permission from Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure of Transport. And we got it.
Finally we put above things together and make this free walking tour for foreign visitors.
